When you are moving into a new home, apartment, or condo you want to make sure that everything is
cleaned and disinfected.  You want your home to feel like its yours whether a previous owner or renter
lived there previously or not.  That’s why a new home cleaning is very important. Occupants
sometimes leave behind odors, grime, cobwebs,  dust, etc.. when they move out of a home so you
want a fresh start in your new home.

New Home Cleaning Checklist

  1. Clean From Top to bottom

Start with your ceiling and work your way down to the floor.  You can use a high duster
or a mop or broom to get the cobwebs and just off the corners etc.. for your new home
cleaning tasks.

2. Clean Frequently touched areas

These common areas of your home that are frequently touched need to be cleaned and
disinfected thoroughly.  See the areas below:

  • The appliances ( oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher etc…
  • Showers, tubs, toilets, sinks,
  • Doors, door handles, door frames
  • Light fixtures, light switches, etc…
  • Stairs and stairwells

3. Clean Areas of Home That You Can Clean Less frequently

These areas you might or might not have to clean depending on the condition
of your home when you move in. New Home Cleaning can be a tedious chore
so we want to make sure we do it right the first time so that you can enjoy
your new clean home. See below the areas :

  • Spot clean walls if needed
  • Baseboards
  • Air Vents & Ceiling Fans
  • Garbage disposal

If you don’t have the time to do your new home cleaning yourself you can hire a professional
move in cleaning service to help you get your home in “Pristine” condition so you can focus on
doing other things before you move into your new home.
