One of the things you want to do before leaving one home and moving into another one is make sure its clean!
It’s a daunting task but it has to be done if you want to get your deposit back.  A move out cleaning checklist is
the only way to go to make sure you get your deposit back.

If your home is just surface dirty then it will be easy to get it standard shape, but if it needs a little more work
then you will have to give it a deep through clean to get that deposit back that is being held hostage.  To get
through this taunting task just throw on some tunes on your I pod or stereo and it will make cleaning a little
bit more enjoyable for you.

Common Areas:

• Take all the screws and nails out of your walls and use wall putty for the holes.
• Dust all the ceiling fans in the home, if they need hand wiping with a wet rag then do so.
• Dust and clean all of your ledges and base boards in the home.
• Clean the Windows, Sills, and tracks.
• Wipe down all door frames and knobs
• Wipe down all light switches
• Spot clean the walls.
• Hire a professional carpet cleaning company and have the carpets clean.
• Use a high duster and remove all the cobwebs

Kitchen:

• Clean cabinets inside and out.
• Clean counter tops  & disinfect them.
• Clean the inside of sink and shine faucets.
• Clean inside of refrigerator, then top and outside as well.
• Clean oven inside & out.
• Clean out dishwasher.
• Sweep & Mop behind all appliances.

Bathrooms:

• Use a bathroom cleaner to scrub bathtub tiles, tub, and shower.
• Clean inside & out of bathroom cabinets
• Sweep & mop floor
• Clean the mirror
• Clean door frames

Bedrooms/Living Room/Den:

• Dust, Vacuum, sweep and mop floors if needed.

and kick your feet up and wait for your deposit.  Using a move out cleaning checklist makes life a little
easier when moving out of a home and into a new place.
