DIY Green Cleaning Products

Sometimes the cost of buying commercial toxic products is outrageous, these does not include the health risks
when using these products.  Studies show that 1 out of 3 people suffer from allergies, bronchitis ,  and asthma.
Today I will give you some green cleaning products you can make at home to give you and your family a healthier
and environmentally friendly alternative to home cleaning.

There are many safe and natural alternatives which you can use to clean your home and get the same
results or better as commercial cleaners you buy from the grocery or chain stores. Here are a few that
we use in our house cleaning company.

 

  • Baking Soda- can be used to as a paste to clean ovens etc…
  • Lemons-  used to fight bacteria
  • White Cleaning vinegar- removes odors, cuts grease, and removes mildew
  • Cornstarch- can be used to clean windows, shampoo carpets & rugs.

 

Here is an recipe for our green cleaning all purpose cleaner that we get good results with when cleaning our
clients homes.  This cleaner is great to use in the kitchen, counter tops, and inside of your refrigerator

 

All Purpose Cleaner:

4 tablespoons of baking soda

12 Oz spray bottle

warm water

Mix ingredients in the spray bottle and shake gently.

 

Grease Cleaner:

This is a great safe cleaner for oven hoods.

Ingredients:
Mix a 1/2 cup  ammonia mixed with enough water to fill a one-gallon container. (Sudsy ammonia, which has detergent in it, helps remove tough grime.) Dip your sponge or mop into the solution clean the area then rinse
with clean water.

 

Stone or Marble Cleaner:

Two drops of mild dish detergent

2 cups of warm water

Spray Bottle

Mix the ingredients in the spay bottle. Spray on surface wipe with a microfiber cloth.  Use a clean
cloth with just water to rinse the residue on the surface Then dry the marble or stone surface with
a dry microfiber cloth do not let the surface air dry.
