DIY Cleaning Tips

These DIY cleaning tips might be the most useful house cleaning tips I’ve encountered throughout my experience as an owner of a cleaning service.  We use some o these ideas with some of our everyday clients and I’ve used them in my home as well.  These DIY cleaning tips are budget friendly and wont break the bank, some of the products you probably already have in your kitchen.   Let’s dig in with these handy cleaning hacks!

1. Clean Your Fabric Couch With Natural Cleaner

   

You may realize that your fabric couch is a bit dirty or has a smell to it… No fear, Just sprinkle some baking powder on it and vacuum it up. ( Tip) If you have spots on your couch put about 3 drops of dish liquid, 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1 cup warm water, and a 1 teaspoon baking soda. Shake well. Spray the stain and use a white cloth to blot and clean the couch.

2. How To Remove Lipstick From Carpet

Mix a cup of warm water with some powered laundry detergent making a paste.  Dip a clean white cloth in the paste and
start cleaning the lipstick stain when you see the lipstick stain has lifted use a another clean damp white cloth and thoroughly
scrub the area.  Let the area dry. Repeat if necessary

3. 5 minute Microwave Cleaner

Fill a microwaveable bowl with 1-2 cups of water and add 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar.  Put the bowl in microwave for
5 minutes.  Remove bowl from microwave ( caution use dish towels to remove the bowl will be hot) Remove the turntable
tray and use a damp cloth to wipe the microwave down, everything should come of f easy.
