5 Ways To Clean With Rubbing Alcohol

You probably think I have just about lost my mind when you saw the title Cleaning With Rubbing Alcohol.
But in our house cleaning company we clean with rubbing alcohol a lot. You can probably find it in your local
drugstore in the first aid section because it acts as a disinfectant for cuts and bruises.
Cleaning With Rubbing Alcohol
(Disclaimer) Always try and use rubbing alcohol in a in a well-ventilated area, it can be flammable
1. Use as a disinfectant- especially around cold and flu season. Mix 1 part alcohol and 1 part water into
a spray bottle and shake well. This can be used for germs or your personal items to keep them germ
free.
2. Stainless Steel Cleaner– Add a little bit of rubbing alcohol to a microfiber cloth to clean your
stainless steel it dries quickly and it is very streak -free.
3. Remove gunk from mirrors and glass – Things such as hair spray leaves a film on your mirrors
and cause build-up we use rubbing alcohol for our deep cleaning service to remove all gunk and
grime before we actually clean mirrors in the bathrooms. This method works wonders!!
4. Clean Chrome and Sinks – Who doesn’t love a shiny sink! Our customers sure do. Clear your
sink of everything then spray some rubbing alcohol to disinfect the sink and make it shiny. Use
a dry microfiber cloth and buff the stainless steel sink and you will be pleasantly surprised at
the outcome. Then spray your chrome fixtures and dry and buff with the alcohol. This is
another one of our home cleaning tricks we use everyday as well.
5. Remove Ink Stains– If you have a ballpoint pen stain or even a permanent marker stain on clothing
have no fear, “cleaning with rubbing alcohol is here. ” Spray the area and let it soak in for a few minutes
then use a paper towel and blot the stain, do not rub the stain blot it. Put the clothing item in the washer
If the stain does not come all the way our on the 1st wash then repeat the steps.
